Manually complete moves

When container moves are recorded manually, they are often entered significantly later than actually completed, for example in the next shift. This may result in XPS recording an inaccurate account of how much work is completed by each shift.

Operations that complete moves manually and require XPS to generate a Shift Productivity report must manually enter the actual move times before completing moves.

This method keeps the planned locations of the discharged containers and sets the status to in-progress. You later complete the discharges when the yard positions are confirmed. The loads are completed to the vessel.

Once you have manually completed the moves for a container, you cannot revert the move.

Manually entering the time when moves are completed involves these tasks:

See Update move times for manually completed discharges (on page 1).

See Update move times for manually completed loads (on page 1).

For more information on completing moves, see the manual Navis N4: Vessel Administrator and User Guide.
